Welcome to Los Berros Visual and Performing Arts Academy - Where Learning Happens

The Los Berros Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Academy is dedicated to providing the very best elementary education to our students, Transitional Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. Los Berros VAPA Academy is a place where students are intellectually ambitious, engaged, and curious about the world in which they live. Our students are compassionate, creative and filled with desire to meet new challenges and pursue creative paths to solutions. 

Our amazing teachers work hard to create exceptional learning experiences for our students. Students participate in integrated art instruction within their classroom, and students in grades 3 and above participate in both trimester and year-long elective courses aligned with the state visual and performing arts standards and frameworks. As a result, our school has been recognized as an exemplary arts education program. In addition, our school utilizes positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) and has adopted a school-wide social emotional learning curriculum as part of our whole-child approach to learning. 

Throughout the year, exciting things are happening in our classrooms and our campus! We encourage you to get involved by joining our Parent Teacher Association (PTA), volunteering at school activities, and taking an active role in your child's education. You are the best gift you can give to your child, and are your child's most important teacher. The elementary years go quickly, but they are among the most fundamental years of your child's life. It is my desire to keep the focus on increasing student achievement and doing whatever it takes to help all of our students be successful and enjoy coming to school day. I believe that learning should be fun and that an elementary school should pave the way for a lifetime of learning.
